DELICE - merienda and dinner :)

First and foremost I feel really lazy so this is going to be a lazy read... 

Last thursday Booby and I decided to try DELICE. Its located in Tops, or just before Tops. 

Here are a few pictures of the place....

Here you can see stairs leading up to rooms, they say you can sleep there for the night if you want, I dont know the rates though. LOL

The chairs and tables were pushed back because it was raining when we went there. 

And our merienda:

ANGUS BEEF BURGER WITH BACON (rating: 8.7/10 coz its only 1/3pounder)

Patty was juicy and tasty (but 1/3 pounder is too bitin for me :[  wish it was 1/2 pounder or more LOL) 

Fresh Corned Beef (rating 7/10)

Its not our usual fresh corned beef coz its shredded, it was ok for a change but I really prefer the one that I am used to. (BIAS...lol) 

And heres my SURF N TURF (rating 8/10) 

The steak was well done, I prefered medium well but it was still very soft nonetheless. (I didn't like the gravy that came with it. Coz I'm bias to peppered gravy)  

When I go back I want to try the Osso Bucco hmmm....

My verdict: 

Food is not great but its pretty good, (this review is based only on the food mentioned above) service was great, the location is quite far. Recommended for quiet nights, the occasional getaway or special occasions. 

Lent's Shrove Tuesday! PANCAKES!!!

Historically, pancakes were made on Shrove Tuesday so that the last of the fatty and rich foods could be used up before Lent. -wikipedia 

El Gordo in Pueblo

I ate in Pueblo Mexicano three times already and everytime I'm there, I coudn't wait for the next time I'll be coming back.

There are so many great dishes to try in Pueblo, even their desserts are mouth-watering and are personally made by the owner who I heard is a sweets-genius! 

Last time we ate there, Booby and I got an El Gordo to share. But before that we also ordered Cheese Quesadilla

Next we had this 

Thats Queso Fondido with Chorizo! 

Yep you read that right, its cheese fondue topped with spanish chorizo!!!! You can see the spanish chorizo right there, hmmm writing this is making me hungry... Woops!

Then the El Gordo arrived, the El Gordo is a super sized burrito with a double filling. 

You can actually choose what you want inside the burrito. 

We opted for Barbacoa de Res, its slow cooked beef brisket in an ancho chile adobo, hmmm beef brisket inside a burrito YUUUUMMMM!!!!

The other choices are 

Carne Asada 

Grilled seasoned beef steak slices

Lechon Carnitas 

Twiced cooked pork, braised and deep fried

Chorizo Mexicano

Homemade mexican style chorizo (like the one we had in our queso fondido) 

Al Pastor

Grilled pork slices marinated in pineapple and spices

Pollo Adobo

Grilled chicken marinated in anchiote adobo sauce           

I bet you are already confused on what to get LOL! 

After you choose what you want inside you can pick your salsa and other options for your burrito! 

Well thats our burrito the beef was so tasty and good for 295php it was very huge! And very GOOD! 

So far everything I've eaten in Pueblo was very good I cant wait for the next time I'll eat there. 

TGIF cant count but scores on Customer Service

Last week I was craving for some cheesesticks and we coudn't think of any other place but TGIF in Ayala. 

So we decided to order Mozarella sticks, and Booby ordered "6pcs"Wings. 

The Mozarella Sticks were good CHEESYYYY LOL! 

Just like the TGIF mozarella sticks you buy from SNR. 

When the chicken wings arrived I was quite suprised when I saw it. 

Remember we ordered 6 pcs but I can only count 3, when we looked closely the tip of the wing was chopped to make it 6pcs I wish I've taken a photo of the lil chop part of the wing but I wasnt, I was really disappointed. The piece was the same size as my thumb finger. 

When the waiter approached us and asked is if we were enjoying our meal, I told him honestly that I'm enjoying my mozarella sticks but my wings NOOOO, he asked what was wrong, I told him that this isnt 6pcs its only 3! They called the manager and also approached us, he was appologizing that I wasnt satisfied with my meal, and he offered to send me another order of wings for free to make it all 6. I declined nicely, it wasnt really necessary, I just told him maybe he could change the 6 into 3 written in the menu so that next time they wont be receiving complaints from their customers. He said he will forward the concern to his boss. (I hope he does). When we got our bill, we were told to only pay for the cheesesticks, since I wasn't satisfied with the wings. 

For me TGIF has really good customer service, I didnt ask for the manager but they sent him right away to address my concern/complain. They are so concerned if their customers enjoyed or didnt enjoy their food which is actually plus points for a restaurant. 

I really enjoyed their food not just the "how many" part of my wings.LOL I really do hope they can fix that. 

I hope when I go back there will be changes already :)
